Located in the heart of the CBD, the Club City Central’s newly refurbished Board and Meeting Rooms are the perfect place for holding a conference, business meeting, seminar, training course or product launch. Our large function room, Burgundy’s, will accommodate up to 200 hundred guests for extravagant corporate and social occasions.
To compliment our renovated rooms, Club City Central has recently recruited a new in house catering team "Joe's Kitchen". Together with the professional and dedicated function team, we can ensure that your wedding, cocktail party, trivia night, lunch or dinner banquet, or corporate catering will be of the highest standard. We have the experience and flexibility to create a memorable and successful event, and can tailor our catering to suit any style and budget.

Function Terms and Conditions
Function Details
The Organiser of the function should note the following terms and conditions, and the details contained in the Club's “Function Agreement”. To ensure your function is a success, we request that all details are confirmed seven working days prior to the function date.
Confirmation of Booking
A booking is not confirmed until a deposit is received with a signed “Function Agreement”. The deposit required is usually 50% of the total cost of your event. (See the “Function Agreement” for the deposit amount) Tentative bookings are held for seven days only, and after this time the room will be released without further notice.
Payment
The signatory of the “Function Agreement” is liable to pay all money due under this agreement. We do not provide credit. All function accounts must be paid, in full, with Credit Card, Cash or Bank Cheque at least seven days before the date of the function. Personal and company cheques are only accepted with prior approval.
Guaranteed Numbers
The Guaranteed Number advised by the organiser is printed on the “Function Agreement”. Guaranteed Numbers cannot be reduced less than seven days prior to the function. Charges will be based on the Guaranteed Number, or the number attending, (whichever is greater). Numbers may be increased up to three days prior to the function date. It is the organiser’s responsibility to notify the Function Coordinator of the final numbers three days prior to the function date.
Cancellation
If the City of Sydney RSL Club has reason to believe that a function will affect the operations of the Club, its security or reputation, it reserves the right to cancel the function at any time
Price Variation
Please note that the prices on this website are subject to change without notice. Every endeavour is made to maintain prices as printed, however these may be subject to increase to meet rising costs.
Room Allocation
The City of Sydney RSL reserves the right to reassign the function to another suitable room should reasonable circumstances arise.
Charities / Fundraising Events
The City of Sydney RSL is a community minded club, and is willing to support various charities. However, the Club must ensure that all costs are covered by the organisers, and therefore it is often necessary to charge a fee. Organisers should realise that the Club is responsible for wage costs for their event, and that Room Hire charges are in place to cover costs such as electricity, water usage, set up of the function, and cleaning afterwards. All concessions granted to charities are subject to the approval by the Function Coordinator who will consult with the Board of Directors.
Room Hire
- Level 3 Auditorium – The room hire is subject to the type of function being planned, length of the function, number of guests in attendance, staff costs, audio visual equipment needed and catering requirements. The Function Coordinator will provide a quote after discussing the particulars of the event.
- Level 5 - The room hire rate includes an overhead projector, whiteboard, flip chart, tv/video/dvd if required.. Additional charges apply for catering and other audio visual equipment, costs involved with telecommunications and staff (if required)
Time Extension
A labour surcharge of $5 per guest, per hour will be payable for any function that continues beyond the agreed time. The decision to approve the extension of any function will be made by the Function Coordinator or Manager on Duty only.
Sunday / Public Holiday Surcharge
A surcharge of 10% applies if a function is held on a Sunday or Public Holiday.
Miscellaneous Charges
The City of Sydney RSL will not be responsible for payment of courier charges or delivery costs of equipment organised on behalf of the client. The City of Sydney RSL must be advised of all deliveries and collections made on behalf of the client.
Food and Beverage
The City of Sydney RSL has a wide range of menus to suit any occasion and budget, and is fully licensed. Function organisers are not permitted to supply their own catering without prior approval from the Function Coordinator or the Club. Menus are subject to change according to seasonal produce available. The Club prohibits the removal of any food and beverages not consumed in the function facilities or other outlets.
Responsible Service of Alcohol Policy
It is the Club’s aim to serve your guests with alcoholic beverages in a professional, friendly and responsible manner. It is the policy of the Club not to allow intoxicated, violent or quarrelsome behaviour toward the staff, members and guests. We reserve the right to refuse the supply of alcoholic beverages if we feel the client or guest appears to have over consumed or is under age, and cannot provide proof of age. We also reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol from a Beverage Package to a person displaying signs of intoxication, regardless of whether the duration of the package has ended or not.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted on Levels 2, 3 and 5 of the Club. Currently, smoking is only permitted in a restricted area on Level 1 and 4.
